Brilliant stuff!!! Especially liked the segment on keeping it real and personal branding. Clearly I need to brush up on my keywording and SEO knowledge, too. Bit lost with that. Dean—I loved your comments about Twitter…it does kind of baffle me a bit. Lots to learn! Keep rockin’~CAW aka “LoonyBus”

It’s important to be yourself for sure, when I started the Wuup blog last year I knew I’d be in it for the long run, and I didn’t expect traffic over night, but it does work, you do need to look for the long journey and not for the quick buck. Oh and sell outs – no one likes a sell out!
Push your comfort zones!!!
Oh your adwords tips, 100% agree with you Ciaran, i did a blog post on how to get 10/10 adwords quality score – doing everything you just said

Ciaran,
haha, I have to confess, I didn’t know you were so down wit da kids, and keeping it real in da hood, bling bling.
Don’t give up the day job though
hi Guys,
you’re getting better and better, thank you…
I agree so much about doing what we are passionate about. it is so true that if you are doing anything else, you won’t go very far… personally I ended nowhere this way…
That’s why I am leveraging on my passion ( dancing and my weekly dance class ) and really proactively promoting this kind of dance ( called biodanza ) and it’s working better and better… a very encouraging beginning…
I have a question :
is it possible to promote and buy a business that is dependent on a real life activity? For example can I promote a yoga class through a website? as long as my target is local, how can I do that? could you explore this? even if it’s to say that it’s much more difficult or almost impossible ( which I don’t believe because I am doing it more and more ). If I want to be very efficient in it, what are the relevant parameters I have to play with, to get traffic to my website for example, as I want most of my traffic based in London North East…
I am not sure my questions are very clear.
let me know your thoughts, and if you need precisions , feel free to contact me.
cheers
keep up the good work
vincent
ps: a bit too long in my feelings…

Vincent,
Thanks for the kind words.
Absolutely you can do that.
I assume by “real life activity” you mean something that is done in person, as opposed to online etc…
Step 1: create your hub. This can be a blog, youtube page, facebook page etc… I recommend a blog.
Step 2: Work on your visibility, in other words, get eyeballs to check out your hub.
TIP: what is your preferred medium? writing, video, audio etc…
Create related content based on that.
Step 3: Once you have started to get a decent level of visibility, you next need to work on credibility. Some call this authority, others call it fame, or respect… this means creating articles on other sites, doing interviews, create products, public speaking, associating with the big names in the niche etc…
Step 4 = Opportunities
Step 5 = Profits.
It would take me hours to go through these steps in detail… but I am working on creating a homestudy course around this formula, it is designed for people like you.
If you are interested, drop me an email at private@deanhunt.com and say you are interested in VCOP.
All the best.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the cool comments. Everything is becoming a lot more fun now Dean realizes who is the real king of the interwaves.
Vincent, in terms of going local, have you ever thought of targeting yourself via google maps, on local search?
It might just be something that can help you stand out in your local area.
Alan – Adwords is a place where too many people are messing up and losing loads so feel free to link to your recent post on the blog.
Cheers guys,
Ciaran

Thanks Ciaran – Here is the post: http://www.wuup.co.uk/google-adwords-10-10-quality-score/ seems to have been received well even though it’s quite simple stuff

“interwaves” haha, I love that, one of your rare creative moments
You should trademark it.
Alan, great post. I forgot that you did some PPC with a mutual friend, will be pestering you about it in the near future no doubt.
Dean
Thanks Ciaran,
I didn’t know what you mean with ‘targeting myself in Google Maps’. I just added my business in Google Maps Business.
that’s what you meant?, I guess.
Vincent
ps: always inspiring to listen to you, especially this week.

thanks to you guys now 12 people have an odd email from me asking what I’m good at, and here I am again sneaking off to listen to your podcast instead of keeping up with my class…no, no, the podcasts are not too long, although you are my new shiny paper. appreciate what you’re talking about, figuring out my M record for migrating my blog over…looking at WordPress for the first time so have to look at the tags (find out what a pipe is) and stuff like that. Was that a reference to Tom Jones? but you said underwear instead…My daughters are always getting me by say “What’s that under there?” at random moments
